Turning Liabilities Into Assets
“White Mountain Naturals Soap Company” was first envisioned by Baptist Evangelist David Harper after the loss of his right leg in August of 2004. David was unable to gain a prosthetic leg for almost 8 months after his amputation due to a variety of situations and insurance issues and decided since he was wheelchair and house bound he needed a hobby. He decided he would try his hand at making homemade bar soaps and attempted to see where this would lead him. After much trial and error he formulated a soap which he believed would help other amputees. This of course went by the wayside due to the lack of financial ability, yet the desire to help fellow amputees did not wane. Around February 1, 2007 a close pastor friend and his wife came for a visit and David told them that he was making his own soap for his family’s use, and told them of the healing properties of the ingredients, he gave them a sample to try. This friend’s wife had been plagued by skin problems for years – mainly dry itchy skin around the nose and in the ears, and also problems on the arms and legs from allergic reactions to bug bites (no-see-ums) – and she found that by using the Bar Soap with the All Natural ingredients her skin and facial problems cleared up with in a few days – and she is no longer plagued or bothered by breakouts or skin irritations, or even those little bugs. The partnership came together as the great success and potential of the product was evident to many other people who tried our sample products.
